PVC-PVdC Barrier Films for Pharma Applications

PVC-PVdC Barrier Films

Day shield is a PVdC coated PVC film offering enhanced barrier properties to protect against moisture and oxygen that meets every specification of the USP/EC/REACH guidelines One can customize the level of barrier protection suiting ons's needs in 20GSM, 40GSM, 60GSM & 90GSM.

High Barrier film that shields your product :-

  • Protection from moisture loss or gain
  • Protection against oxidation of ingredients
  • Protection from aroma and flavor loss or pickup
  • Prevention of oil and grease permeation
  • Good seal integrity, using heat seals, high-frequency seals or ultrasonic seals
  • Excellent transparency and gloss
  • Good antifog properties
  • Excellent printing characteristics
  • Good scratch and abrasion resistance

Day Shield also complies with the requirements for direct food and pharmaceutical contact of regulatory agencies around the world. When it comes to barrier properties, Day Shield is different from most other barrier polymers, providing excellent barrier to both oxygen and water vapor while most other barrier polymers offer from either one. The gas barrier properties are unaffected by relative humidity, so the performance can be relied on through a wide range of packaging and environmental conditions.

Applications :-
